Nice interview. I thought the location was pretty great for filming. Loved the b roll. The one thing I noticed was during his interview, it seemed like he was out of focus a lot. The background seemed more in focus.
So much B-roll, but so much good b-roll! I loved it. I love all the comic related stuff you guys captured. He seemed really into comics and this documentary really showed that and got the point across.
I love this guy and your video did him justice. I liked the b roll of his collections and the music choice fit extremely well. The only downside was there is a random jump cut of him talking about how long he taught at iusb and it seemed odd. Over all good documentary.
All of the marvel and DC action figures and comics and posters really made his love for the genre so clear. This was a fantastic piece and i loved seeing it! the only negative part of the video would be the sound bytes where it seemed almost glitchy or cut too soon.
These sort of stories never get old. I love hearing about how in one's youth there were good intentions, great ambition, goal setting getting crushed then suddenly out of the blue a small but life changing thing happens. He's a great artist with a good story. Does he take commissions? :D Sound bits were cut off. Evidently with the tinny quality and the infamous 'hiss' no external mic was used so one point off for that.
OMG I love this.. speed up of him drawing perfect and the interview was in an awesome location ! He has an amazing story. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing all of his work and hearing his story.
ReplyDeletejohn thompson gives me hope
ReplyDeleteAwesome! This video was done very well in each aspect. There was great b roll. I liked the transitions used in the video as well.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed all the B-roll, it really helps tell his story and passion. I think John was overexposed a little bit in the interview.
ReplyDeleteJT is the man! You guys did a good job of capturing his story

ReplyDeletevery interesting, you guys captured a more serious side of professor Thompson. I think you guys could have used a little more b roll. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the b-roll that you got but would have liked to have seen more of it focused on his personal work.
